![]() This is shown throughout the interactions with and scenes about him. I feel that they did him wrong and it really is criminal because, plain and simple, Seifer is not a bad kid. (Seifer Almasy created by Squaresoft. One of the things that bothers me the most about Final Fantasy VIII is how the characters in the game treat and view Seifer at the beginning of the game. He wears a gray trenchcoat and pants with a blue shirt, even when uniform is called for another of his annoying habits. He has short-cropped blond hair and blue eyes. He stands taller than most of the other students, and has a solid build. Seifer is a handsome young man of only eighteen. A person can use more than one GF however, only one may be summoned at a time, and changing GFs takes time. While summoning, the user is protected by the GF itself if the GF is knocked out, the summoning will abort and the GF must be revived later. The GF itself can also be summoned, delivering a powerful attack to the user's opponents. Note: The spells should be pre-designed, and the "charges" of a spell drawn should depend on the amount of Transfer rolled. All spells have limited charges, and once a charge is used, it is gone until the spell can be re-drawn. These are "stocked" in the Variable power Pool for later use. GFs rest in the user's mind, and enable him to draw magic spells from the environment or from opponents. Seifer is also trained in the use of pseudo magic, made possible through monsters known as "Guardian Forces" (GFs). When sufficiently driven, Seifer can unleash his special "Fire cross attack." This consists of a basic fire spell to stun the opponent, while Seifer then unleashes a spinning disk of energy to finish them off. He wields an autopistol-styled gunblade which he has named "Valiant," and is an excellent combatant with it. Seifer is trained in both magic and swordplay, although he by far prefers the latter. Seifer is infuriated by Squall's apparent success, and does his best to interfere with the other student's life. He and two other students, namely Fujin and Raijin call themselves the "disciplinary committee " this is little more than an excuse for Seifer to do as he will. He loves to push people around just to get a reaction out of them. Seifer is mean-spirited, obnoxious and attention seeking. Squall retaliated, and the two were left with matching scars on their foreheads eternal reminders of their rivalry. This came to a head when, in a practice duel the night before their final test, Seifer broke the rules and injured Squall. Seifer dedicated his time to pushing around the other student, determined to make him as miserable as he was. He was popular with the instructors, disciplined, and a guaranteed Seed candidate. Squall displayed as much aptitude as Seifer, yet progressed at a steadier rate. As he retried his studies, he noticed another student, Squall Leonheart. Seifer kept on with Garden, still hoping to make it into Seed. However, due to his arrogant attitude and disrespect for authority, he failed. ![]() He was admitted into Garden, and displayed remarkable aptitude for his chosen lifestyle so much so that he was ready for his final Seed test years before his peers. As he grew up, it was only natural to him to pursue the life of a soldier. Even in his younger years, he was a bully and an attention seeker. Seifer Almasy was raised in a small orphanage in the southern archipelago.
